A Grateful Weekend...

It started with a little runny nose and her breathing seemed off... a little to heavy and fast. Then she stopped eating... and didn't come to say hello at feeding time. She had a fever! We need the vet! It was a 3 day weekend... a holiday weekend! I was not sure I could get my vet... kids always get sick on weekends! I wonder why that is!

I am very grateful... because my vet was in town and come out to look at her. She has pneumonia!! I new she was very sick... but pneumonia! I had no idea... I was thinking a cold a little flu virus... maybe even a little bronchitis... but pneumonia!

I have been one stressed horse mom. She is my baby... the love of my life! (incase the dogs are reading this they are also the loves of my life, and my kids too, but she is special) I spend everyday having fun with this girl. She keeps me going, she listens to my stories, gives me hugs and kisses, keeps me laughing, and warms my heart with her loyalty and love. She is a keeper!

She is getting better... she was even her little sassafras self yesterday... and threw her halter at Jessie one of the trainers at the ranch... (she is known as the halter throwing queen). Halter throwing is a good sign for Miss Siempre... and talking, she was talking up a storm yesterday! Another sign that the girl is getting better!
